The Refinery at Domino
Studio North worked alongside Two Trees Management on the adaptive reuse of the historic Domino Sugar Refinery, helping transform the industrial landmark into a contemporary mixed-use development.
Our scope included the 60-foot cantilevered marquee canopy, feature lobby elements, and the building’s main entry facades and portals. Delivered under an accelerated schedule, the project balanced preservation of the building’s historic character with the introduction of new architectural features central to its renewed identity.

Working directly with Two Trees Management, Studio North developed, manufactured, and erected the marquee canopy for The Refinery at Domino, starting with only a conceptual rendering. Our work included aesthetic development, structural design and optimization, and the integration of drainage and electrical systems.
In addition to the marquee, Studio North developed the design and directed the execution of the exterior rain screen, entry portal, custom interior ceiling, and other major feature elements.
